Luxury Sedan Competitors Can't Match the Refinement and Practicality of the Cadillac CTS

  • The Cadillac CTS doesn't stop there either as it has two V6 engine options, one that has 335 horsepower, and another that has 420 horsepower, which both best the 268 horsepower of the Lexus ES. 

Design and Comfort

Another key aspect of luxury sedans is the comfort and welcoming nature that they treat each passenger to, which is achieved through a design that grants loads of room and the features that make it even easier to relax. The Cadillac CTS does this by delivering much more room for front row passengers, 45.7 inches of legroom and 40.4 inches of headroom compared to 41.9 and 37.5 inches respectively in the Lexus ES, 20-way power adjustable seats that have twice the maneuverability of the 10-way seats of the Lexus ES, and a tri-zone climate control system that lets each of the front seat passengers and those in the rear choose the heating or A/C setting they prefer.

Technology

The recent model years of both these luxury sedans have a ton of intelligent features that are ready to help make rides a joy in their own special ways, but the Cadillac CTS still holds some advantages that drivers are sure to notice.
In terms of safety, these models are available with driver-assist features, like lane change alert with side blind zone alert and forward collision alert, but the Cadillac CTS is the only one of the two to offer an adaptive lighting system that optimizes the lighting of the headlights, so you see more of the road at night.

The Cadillac CTS also offers a ton of tech built for your mobile devices that the Lexus ES is not available with.     Performance

    Again, the luxury sedan competition can’t keep up with the capable performance of the Cadillac CTS, which comes standard with a four-cylinder engine that has much more horsepower and torque than the standard four-cylinder engine of the BMW 3-Series, 268 vs. 180 horsepower and 295 vs. 200 pound-feet of torque respectively.

    • However, unlike the Lexus ES, the BMW 3-Series does offer some other engines, but even they can’t keep up with the Cadillac CTS. 
    • The BMW 3-Series tops out at 320 horsepower and 330 pound-feet of torque, which falls beneath the specs of two of the three engine options of the Cadillac CTS. 
    • Drivers around Chicago that want to get their resting pulse rate up should really consider the Cadillac CTS.

    Design and Comfort

    No competitors come close to the 45.7 inches of front legroom that the Cadillac CTS delivers, the BMW 3-Series falls nearly four inches short, so taller drivers have a clear choice, but the Cadillac CTS also has more legroom for the rear row than the BMW 3-Series, so even full-size passengers are comfortable in the back seat. On top of that, the Cadillac CTS has a larger trunk, so there's less worry about fitting items like sports gear or luggage.

    Technology

    These models share lots of tech features, everything from a head-up display to a wireless charging pad to a range of driver-assist safety features, but there are several that the Cadillac CTS has that go the extra mile in passenger convenience that the BMW 3-Series can’t match.
